but what are skyscrapers and brick buildings and even the pyramids when compared with human life? We take more work and we need more care. The hands that design skyscrapers are baffled by their children. If your looking for value in building, you can find it in the family.
Bricks are the building blocks. They can create great things because of their strong foundation, but what about steel? it can build skyscrapers that stand tall in hard winds. There are better things than bricks.
Why build from bricks when you can use metal? Metal makes better and stronger buildings anyway, and it is easy to craft. bricks take work to mold and move into place but metal can be crafted long before it is put into the building.
Why then are bricks better than metal? They're not as strong, not as beautiful, not as elegant, not as grand, and not as easy. They can't make the great overhangs and swooping curves that look so interesting. They actually cost more and you get less space in the buildings you make.

BUT BRICKS LAST. If you look at any old building that is still standing, it is made of stone or brick. It can last thousands of years with just a small wear and tear added to it. It is harder to craft than metal because metal can be bent and built by machines but bricks are laid by the hands of men. Metal buildings will not last unless they are constantly taken care of, that is the nature of something that is easier to build or gain. Bricks don't need to be protected or sheltered like metal that rusts, they are the protection and the shelter because they are hard won. This is why the pyramids last so long, they are built with the work of thousands and laid by the careful hands that carved them.

What is new?

I would like to bring everyone's attention to the war being waged in Ukraine. What is really happening and why is there not more media coverage!? There is a revolution there that Russia might disagree with and could possibly fight and this could possibly cause another cold war if anyone else steps in. Is it not being covered so that we don't force our government to fight? Post your thoughts

something kind of new

something different... hmm

I could go Indie and say that I'm doing something different just like everyone else who thinks they're new.

I could talk about politics and either no one would listen or people would disagree loudly

Why is is that and idea is immediately discredited when anyone has an idea that other people haven't heard or think they disagree with. Is it fear of change in your own ideas? distrust of anything new? because someone once told us that a different idea is better? Why should we ever fear truths, even just possible truths?

Who first gave Ghandi the respect and trust that he deserved? obviously someone with an open mind for great ideas.

Love

If you ask different people at different times in their lives what love is you'll get different answers each time because no one really knows what the full picture of love is.

A teenager after a breakup might say that love is pain, rejection, or putting yourself out on a limb and then falling.

An adult who is just recently married would say that it is a wonderful thing that he wouldn't trade for anything in the world

An older married couple might say that it is fulfillment and worth everything.

As for me, I say it is all these things, but that above all it is hard. No one really tells you this because you don't yet know the best parts or you already know both sides, but love is the most difficult thing a human can ever face. It can destroy us, it can heal us, it can bring us comfort or it can make our lives a living nightmare but its always worth it. Its always better to love even if you fail. perhaps it is insanity

Crayons

crayons mean I'm not afraid to misspel words or use grammar bad in a post even though people would laugh or hate it. You cannot erase a crayon and you can't get fine details with them, but if you really look at a picture a child draws then you'll see what they think and gain far more detail than u would out of a perfect drawing of a portrait. It shows you their creativity and what they make out of nothing.
WHAT does it mean to be HUMAN?

Many people say that to be a human YOU HAVE MAKE NO SENSE, you have to be incapable of doing things that computers can, and that Love is the only thing that separates a human from a robot because it is illogical and cannot be explained. While I agree with these, I couldn't be more against them. I disagree because while all these things are true, they are looked at in an entirely glass half empty kind of way.

As humans we don't make sense only because we are so complicated and conflicted that we look inconsistent to anyone that cannot understand us. The fact that we don't make sense doesn't make us stupid, it makes us so complicated that we cannot even understand ourselves.

Being human to many scientists means that we aren't as capable as computers and that we aren't as smart but we created computers, not the other way around. Computers cannot imagine something as complicated as a person and program them to be like a person. People create themselves and no amount of programming can make a person what they do not choose to become. it's true that you can make a person so miserable or so directed one way that they choose a certain path, but no matter what the circumstance, we still have a CHOICE.

Love is a human trait that seems to make no sense when you think about it objectively but it's what makes life worth living. Machines can't love, so I think the word that most describes how they live if we compare them to humans is SURVIVAL. It's just on the edge of not existing at all, this means that you simply are there and that you have not, as of yet, been wiped of the earth. As humans, we can have something far greater than survival, we can thrive. We can better ourselves and have empathy for others, and we can have such joy that it makes us feel like we can defy gravity, the drawback is that we can feel pain. We can hurt so badly that it feels like we can never get out of our beds because we have no will or strength to carry ourselves through the day.

Human aren't robots because while robots never have any pain and don't become discouraged, they also have no ambition. As humans we can either wallow and complete nothing or thrive and change the world. We can choose to be happy or sad. Being human means we have the agency to choose if we will be worse or better than survival because "there must needs be, that there is opposition in all things. If not so... all things must be compound into one... 'there would be no happiness or misery'".-2Nephi 2:11
