jealousy - Robert Frost-ish

Im jealous of Robert Frost just because I love his writings. I don't know why but before I even knew that they were his writings or that they were famous, I still thought they were iconic.
It just feels like he knows what he's talking about and I get more out of five of his words than a whole book.
I really wish I had written his works
Fire and Ice

what is with the world

isn't it funny that what people think about the world is almost always wrong
we can usually recognize truth and we call people that speak it wise
but when we hear truth and recognize it, we almost never remember or follow
what man wants is seldom what he needs
if you had a million dollars, what would you really spend it on after having it for a month?
would you buy a really expensive car or a nice house?
would you listen to your better judgment and invest?
would you do something useful with it and build something amazing
would you not just give it to charity but build and become a charity
what if you could only buy one thing
chances are your unsure about this which means your unsure about what's most important

Lunar landing - Penndragon

What do we really know about the moon?
All we can do is see its light
Even if you just go by its surface
We can only see half
we have no idea what the dark side of the moon looks like
And that is just the surface
Whats inside?
we only have just a few moon rocks
and those are from the surface

my dog

All the different names for my dog

Lunchie
old

sweetie
miss dog
dumb dumb
smarty pants (guess it depends on the day)
senile

lazy and old

she's 15 years old and still around. We got her from the pound the day she would've been put down and she's been the best dog I've ever had

her first name was lucky, but maybe that should be my name.

why people try too hard

Why people try too hard

I don't really like SPACE CAMP, it just isn't my thing.

When I say this, for some reason people think I'm trying to be cool, but I'm not. I'm just being ME.
Why do people even try to be cool? I never do, but when I say that PEOPLE say I'm trying to be cool.
It sounds too nonchalant, which is supposed to be cool, but who wants to be cool anyway? That just means people look up to you!

If your not eye to eye, then you cannot truly know a person. Why would you want someone to look up to you?

the known

Why do we love the known
doesn't it drive you crazy
isn't it just the same thing
and don't you feel trapped

what if your wrong? what if the whole world is wrong?
does it scare you to think that all you've ever known is not true
does it scare you that crazy people could be the sane ones
if what you thought was right turns out to be wrong,
do you ignore it or do you follow the new path?

That's what happens when someone tricks you
when someone has your trust and breaks it
when what you thought was impossible suddenly happens
doesn't it just destroy you?
it hurts that your trust was broken by someone
does it hurt more that you never saw this comming
that everything you knew was wrong

What if your wrong about just one thing?
the "average" or c in school means that you were wrong 1/4 times
are people really wrong that often?
if that's true then what is the world, I don't even know the whole picture
I'm wrong about what I do know
What are you wrong about? should you care or does that just cause problems?

the unknown

The unknown

What is there to fear but the unknown,
the known is easy safe and like drinking a glass of water.
There are much better drinks than a glass of water,
but all of them take more work to find and trying something new is always a risk.

The unknown IS risk.
The imagination knows this,
it shows this and it grows this
fostering the idea that new is bad
creating the rut we live in
the rut we feel safe in
the rut that we hate

This is why love is so hard.
love is unknown, biggest unknown
its also the best
it has the most risk
you can not just lose everything you have, but everything you are
it can make you beg to not exist, make you beg for nothing
but even the pain feels good
you never though you could be the one to feel it so strongly

why do we fear the unknown?

why do we fear the dark?
because there could be danger in the dark
we don't know, we can't see it
couldn't there be something good in the dark?
but what if its my worst fear?
so are you never going in the dark again?
not if I can help it
then you'll never know
you'll never feel the rewards of risk

but what are skyscrapers and brick buildings and even the pyramids when compared with human life? We take more work and we need more care. The hands that design skyscrapers are baffled by their children. If your looking for value in building, you can find it in the family.
Bricks are the building blocks. They can create great things because of their strong foundation, but what about steel? it can build skyscrapers that stand tall in hard winds. There are better things than bricks.
Why build from bricks when you can use metal? Metal makes better and stronger buildings anyway, and it is easy to craft. bricks take work to mold and move into place but metal can be crafted long before it is put into the building.
Why then are bricks better than metal? They're not as strong, not as beautiful, not as elegant, not as grand, and not as easy. They can't make the great overhangs and swooping curves that look so interesting. They actually cost more and you get less space in the buildings you make.

BUT BRICKS LAST. If you look at any old building that is still standing, it is made of stone or brick. It can last thousands of years with just a small wear and tear added to it. It is harder to craft than metal because metal can be bent and built by machines but bricks are laid by the hands of men. Metal buildings will not last unless they are constantly taken care of, that is the nature of something that is easier to build or gain. Bricks don't need to be protected or sheltered like metal that rusts, they are the protection and the shelter because they are hard won. This is why the pyramids last so long, they are built with the work of thousands and laid by the careful hands that carved them.

What is new?

I would like to bring everyone's attention to the war being waged in Ukraine. What is really happening and why is there not more media coverage!? There is a revolution there that Russia might disagree with and could possibly fight and this could possibly cause another cold war if anyone else steps in. Is it not being covered so that we don't force our government to fight? Post your thoughts

something kind of new

something different... hmm

I could go Indie and say that I'm doing something different just like everyone else who thinks they're new.

I could talk about politics and either no one would listen or people would disagree loudly

Why is is that and idea is immediately discredited when anyone has an idea that other people haven't heard or think they disagree with. Is it fear of change in your own ideas? distrust of anything new? because someone once told us that a different idea is better? Why should we ever fear truths, even just possible truths?

Who first gave Ghandi the respect and trust that he deserved? obviously someone with an open mind for great ideas.

Love

If you ask different people at different times in their lives what love is you'll get different answers each time because no one really knows what the full picture of love is.

A teenager after a breakup might say that love is pain, rejection, or putting yourself out on a limb and then falling.

An adult who is just recently married would say that it is a wonderful thing that he wouldn't trade for anything in the world

An older married couple might say that it is fulfillment and worth everything.

As for me, I say it is all these things, but that above all it is hard. No one really tells you this because you don't yet know the best parts or you already know both sides, but love is the most difficult thing a human can ever face. It can destroy us, it can heal us, it can bring us comfort or it can make our lives a living nightmare but its always worth it. Its always better to love even if you fail. perhaps it is insanity

Crayons

crayons mean I'm not afraid to misspel words or use grammar bad in a post even though people would laugh or hate it. You cannot erase a crayon and you can't get fine details with them, but if you really look at a picture a child draws then you'll see what they think and gain far more detail than u would out of a perfect drawing of a portrait. It shows you their creativity and what they make out of nothing.
WHAT does it mean to be HUMAN?

Many people say that to be a human YOU HAVE MAKE NO SENSE, you have to be incapable of doing things that computers can, and that Love is the only thing that separates a human from a robot because it is illogical and cannot be explained. While I agree with these, I couldn't be more against them. I disagree because while all these things are true, they are looked at in an entirely glass half empty kind of way.

As humans we don't make sense only because we are so complicated and conflicted that we look inconsistent to anyone that cannot understand us. The fact that we don't make sense doesn't make us stupid, it makes us so complicated that we cannot even understand ourselves.

Being human to many scientists means that we aren't as capable as computers and that we aren't as smart but we created computers, not the other way around. Computers cannot imagine something as complicated as a person and program them to be like a person. People create themselves and no amount of programming can make a person what they do not choose to become. it's true that you can make a person so miserable or so directed one way that they choose a certain path, but no matter what the circumstance, we still have a CHOICE.

Love is a human trait that seems to make no sense when you think about it objectively but it's what makes life worth living. Machines can't love, so I think the word that most describes how they live if we compare them to humans is SURVIVAL. It's just on the edge of not existing at all, this means that you simply are there and that you have not, as of yet, been wiped of the earth. As humans, we can have something far greater than survival, we can thrive. We can better ourselves and have empathy for others, and we can have such joy that it makes us feel like we can defy gravity, the drawback is that we can feel pain. We can hurt so badly that it feels like we can never get out of our beds because we have no will or strength to carry ourselves through the day.

Human aren't robots because while robots never have any pain and don't become discouraged, they also have no ambition. As humans we can either wallow and complete nothing or thrive and change the world. We can choose to be happy or sad. Being human means we have the agency to choose if we will be worse or better than survival because "there must needs be, that there is opposition in all things. If not so... all things must be compound into one... 'there would be no happiness or misery'".-2Nephi 2:11

Viewpoint

Viewpoint

To someone on the outside, I'm seen as someone with an easy life. I usually get what I want whenever I want, and I have no great and tragic weight that drags me down like everyone else seems to, but the more people you get to know, the more you realize that those kind of guesses about a person are never true.

The people that look like they have the easiest lives look that way either because they are hiding their scars or because their scars and crucibles have made them stronger and the very thing that tortures has healed. With some people, you can tell with a glance and their crucible has either made them obviously stronger but scared, or they've given up and given in.

You would never guess it by looking at me but I've had a hard life. I've moved nine times all in about a 7 year stretch which anyone can tell you is never easy. When I was in 6th grade, every single one of my friends left me and ignored me for 2 months when I told them I was moving to Utah and then I came to "happy valley" which for me has proved to be undeniably true because it is hands down the best place I've ever lived. I've had friends change, girls break my heart in the worst way, and probably the most complicated dating life of anyone that hasn't gone against church teachings. I've had many worst days and quite a few best days, but I've learned from my worst days and remember the best and that is what makes me so happy even when I have a new worst day of my life. Through all of this though, the thing that has carried me most is the fact that I try to be the best person I can be, I never succeed but always get closer. WHAT CARRIES YOU?

Now this has all been too deep and serious to just leave there and I can't just leave it there so I'm adding this:
